Vacancy Inspection Panel Member

​The appointment of Inspection Panel Member Zeinab Elbakri is due to end on August 31, 2017. Her departure will create a vacancy on the Panel. In accordance with the procedures approved by the Bank’s Board of Executive Directors (R2003-0043), a Selection Committee has been convened that consists of Executive Director Otaviano Canuto, chairman of the Bank’s Committee on Development Effectiveness; Executive Director Merza Hasan, dean of the Board; World Bank Chief Executive Officer Kristalina Georgieva; and Senior Vice President and General Counsel Sandie Okoro. The Committee is expected to convene in April and May to review, short list and interview candidates, with a view to presenting names of qualified candidates to World Bank Group President Jim Kim for his nomination to the Executive Directors in June.
