Birgit Kuba joined the Inspection Panel Secretariat in January 2014. She completed her first law degree and a Master’s in International Development at the University of Vienna, Austria, and holds an LL.M. from Columbia University in New York, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar. Birgit specialized in indigenous legal studies, law and development and human rights law. She is a New York-licensed lawyer. Prior to joining the Inspection Panel, Birgit gained experience at Human Rights Watch, the Citizens’ Service of the Austrian Constitutional Court, Dorda Brugger Jordis Attorneys and IFC.
