Inspection Panel Honors John Garrison Following his Retirement

​The Inspection Panel held a farewell reception on Feb. 24 for John Garrison, who worked as a senior civil society specialist with the Panel before his retirement. John had joined the Inspection Panel in October 2014 and spearheaded the Panel’s outreach efforts. The event was attended by more than 70 people, including Panel members, Bank staff, John’s previous colleagues, friends and family. The farewell event started with a short speech by Panel Chairman Gonzalo Castro de la Mata, followed by tributes from John’s friends and colleagues. John said that following his retirement from the Bank, where he had worked for nearly 20 years, he is spending quality time with his family and friends, especially with his grandson, Garrison. He continues to work as an adjunct professor at the Elliot School for International Relations at George Washington University. See more photos in Panel'sFacebook page.
